Introduction to the Book of Judges - Cycles of Grace
We normally do not associate GRACE with the Old Testament, but that word is evident on almost every page in the book of Judges. After entering the Promised Land, instead of trusting the promises of God and following His directions, the Children of Israel continually went their own way and worshiped idols. Then after years of defeat and torment by their enemies, they would cry to the Lord for help, and He would graciously rescue them. As the Israelites repeated cycles of unbelief, their loving God faithfully turned those years into cycles of grace. May this book encourage us that God still has enough grace for our cycles today!
