“When the priests came out of the Holy Place, a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of the Lord.”

When we moved into our new home, my brother-in-law designed a perfect template for his specially crafted furniture. As those gifts arrived, we placed each piece according to Bob’s orders and the layout was beautifully perfect.
Likewise, God designed the layout of His House on earth. Moses placed the Tabernacle furniture according to that plan; Solomon placed the Temple furniture according to that plan, and the glory of God’s presence filled both Dwellings.
The same principle is true for my life—God’s presence fills this temple when all the pieces are arranged according to HIS plan! However, there have been times in my life when I thought His furniture needed to be re-arranged! Once I tried to keep Uganda in the main hall, but God said, “Trust your leaders.” Two other times I wanted my rights in the center, but God pushed them to the side saying, “Trust ME!” Recently, I have been trying to shove my teaching desk up front, but God keeps moving it out of sight.
I may not understand God’s layout of furniture in my life right now, but I KNOW I can trust the Designer. Even when I mess up His order by trying to shuffle furniture from room to room, the very moment I move the last piece back to the Designer’s perfect spot, HIS presence envelopes MY temple!
